Com technician

A technician trained to use a communications console for the production of general recordings, the printing or translation of written communication, or radio broadcasts. These units can transmit audio and visual to existing bug swarms (which then must be reinterpreted by magicians) or send com-to-com transmissions through the use of bug pheromones. A cheap way to use bugs to communicate which does not involve magical skill. Repairs to com units can sometimes be completed by the com tech or a tissue mechanic, but more often, it is necessary for a magician to come in to re-calibrate existing bug colonies to control for evolution and mutation of swarms.
