Bakkie

A hybrid organic/mechanical vehicle powered primarily through the use of a bug cistern filled with roaches and sometimes red beetles as well. Collectively, the bugs that power the vehicles are often known simply as "bakkie beetles". Includes organic feeding and exhaust systems. Newer models may be completely or partially solar-fed. (org. South African: a generic name for any light delivery vehicle).
